The Early Days

Chyrelle Addams is a professional and well known solo artist, having performed all around the North East Workingmans Club Circuit for a good number of years. On the odd occasion she isn’t working Chyrelle is better known to her family and friends as Trish Greensmith, a normal everyday girl with a a husband to look after and a mortgage to pay.

The Beginning

In May 2007, after discovering a lump in her left breast, Trish was diagnosed with HER2 – Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer and her life was never to be the same again. Like many people faced with such a diagnosis, Trish and her family were understandably devastated and unfortunately in this particular instance, the outlook was seemingly bleak.

Trish, however, continued to smile.

The Incentive

Almost as soon as the treatment began, Trish knew she was going to fight this disease with everything she had and in doing so, she realised that she also wanted to help others in her situation. Experiencing first hand the frustration of patient waiting times due to equipment shortages and the impact this could have on treatment, Trish decided she was going to raise a little cash. So, That’s what she did.

The Trust

Over 10 years later, The Chyrelle Addams Cancer Support Trust, with Trish Greensmith still very much at the helm, has raised well over £200,000 and is responsible for donating much needed Life Saving equipment to Chemotherapy and Cancer Wards all over the North East.
They’ve recently established their HQ over two floors at Royal Corner in Crook and offer a variety of therapy, help and support programs to anyone who needs it.
